A transmission repair, for example, can set you back between $1,500 and $4,000, and a major engine repair can start at $2,500. But with a CARCHEX extended vehicle protection plan, you can save hundreds or thousands of dollars on vehicle repairs.

How Much Does a CARCHEX Protection Plan Cost?

A factory extended vehicle protection plan typically costs between $1,000 and $1,500, but with CARCHEX, you have more options at competitive prices. Third-party extended protection plans generally range from a few hundred dollars to over $1,000, but the price will depend on your vehicle and your deductible. CARCHEX offers some plans with a $0 deductible, so you won’t have to pay anything at the time of your repair. However, you can lower the cost of your contract by raising your deductible to $50 or even $100. This deductible is owed for each repair. To make plans affordable and more manageable than a surprise repair cost, CARCHEX also offers payment plans in monthly installments. For some vehicles, like a used Nissan, monthly payments can be as low as $65/month*.

Additional Tips for Extended Protection Plans

If you want the best protection for your vehicle, follow these helpful tips:
